The technical committee of Project Haystack is excited to announce program topics and open the Call for Presentations for Haystack Connect 2019, taking place May 13-15, 2019 at Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, California.
Haystack Connect is known for the quality of its technical program, which is driven by—YOU—the Project Haystack community. Presentations focus on the real-world challenges in integrating diverse systems and data and are delivered by individuals leading the effort to streamline data interchange through the use of Project Haystack technology.
The technical committee is requesting proposals that address the following topic areas for the 2019 event:
TRACK 1 – Haystack in Practice – Applications of Haystack Tagging in Real World Applications
Consulting engineers and Haystack; Making data open - Haystack in specifications; Evolution of new data-oriented business offerings by the consulting community
Haystack beyond building environmental systems – Haystack in industrial applications, data centers, agriculture, etc.
Why product manufacturers are implementing Haystack in their products
The Haystack/Analytics Connection: Haystack's role in streamlining analytics of IoT data
End users’ experiences implementing data management strategies and Haystack’s role
Haystack for contractors and integrators
TRACK 2 – Technical Track (Targeted at Developers)
Haystack type system and BACnet/Brick collaboration
Haystack integration and collaboration with other standards
Haystack-related open source projects
Project-Haystack.org Working Group Updates
Open session for community suggested technical topics
TRACK 3 – New Products and Services Using Haystack – “Pitchfest”
Up to twelve 20-minute sessions are being offered on a first come first serve basis
Submit brief abstracts, approximately 100-200 words in length, to [email protected]
The first round of submissions will be accepted until February 15, 2019. Speaking slots will be awarded on a first come, first served basis following technical committee review, so get your presentation submissions in early!
