Hi How might one tag a window actuator that variably opens a window for ventilation purposes? Such a system would respond to CO2 or temp which have point tags, but I don't see a tag that would suit a window actuator

That is an interesting question and application. For valves and dampers, we don't reference the actuator, so we may not need to for windows.
I would start simple with something like windowcmd.....and additional tags could be developed to describe the types of windows???
For example; with dampers we add discharge, return, outside and exhaust tags
Would you envision descriptive tags for different types of windows?

Hi Dennis
At least with a damper there is a tag, essentially the window is controlled like a damper from 0-100% open
the type of the window would not be important, just it's percentage opening area (although it may also be useful to add a description of the effective area when 100% open - see http://portfolio.cpl.co.uk/CIBSE/201605/40/)
