Navigant Research published an article entitled "Overcoming the Building Big Data Challenge" by Alvin Chen — March 1, 2016. The article addresses the fact that while the cost of sensors has dropped, the amount of computational power and data storage has increased, and the amount of building data available has increased considerably, the key challenge is how to manage and get useful information out of the data.
The article goes on to mention Project Haystack and the work the community is doing to address the challenge.
