I'm a developer working in the IOT space - both professionally and as a hobbyist. Haystack looks really interesting, but your choice of Microsoft Word format for publishing specifications seems odd.
Is there any chance you could use a non-proprietary format? Perhaps PDF, or - if editing is an issue - something like Markdown, RTF, plain text ...
I'm happy to volunteer my own time to convert things to a better format.
Yours,
Duncan

Hi Duncan, the specification per se is just the website itself plus various downloads such as tags in CSV. The only document which is a doc file is the Guide Specification which designed as an aid to consultants who want to include Haystack in their project documents.

Duncan, we would very much appreciate if you would translate the Guide Specification for consultants to other formats you feel would be helpful. My experience has been that is the preferred format for those types of documents. PDF doesn't allow for easy copy and paste in project documents.
Please feel free to add any format you fell will be useful. Thats how the community works -- people see a need and work to fill it. You can send it to [email protected] and we will get it posted. In the future we will add ability to post things like that more easily.
